Ty rapidly prototypes analytics solutions. He is Chief Analytics Innovator at the Columbus Collaboratory, a first-of-its-kind cooperative that brings together seven large companies and several regional partners to synergistically accelerate analytics-driven business value delivery. Ty and his team are pioneering a process and set of technologies that minimize the time it takes to create a minimally-viable analytics solution, or prototype. Such prototypes solve for several key challenges to injecting analytics into large, long-standing companies – including accelerating stakeholder buy-in, increasing speed-to-value, and decreasing cost-of-failure.

Ty combines deep expertise in both data science and human behavior with rich experience in business and technology to creatively solve for some of analytics most pressing challenges. Prior to joining the Collaboratory, Ty led the Data Science team at Huntington Bank, and was a key contributor to Nationwide and the Ohio State University’s nationally-recognized academic-corporate analytics collaborative.
