Sirajum Munir

Sirajum Munir is a Senior Research Scientist at Bosch Research and Technology Center. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia in 2014. His research interest lies in the areas of signal processing, machine learning, cyber-physical systems, and ubiquitous technologies. He has published 26 papers in major conferences and journals in these areas and received a best paper award (EWSN ’21) and two best paper award nominations (ICCPS ‘14, ’15). He has filed 22 patents and received multiple awards for developing novel technologies, including Microsoft Research Software Engineering Innovation Foundation Award ’14. He served as a Co-PI of a $1.3M grant from the U.S. DOE to develop a depth sensing-based human-in-the-loop control solution to improve the energy efficiency of commercial buildings and occupant comfort.
