Dr. Alex Barclay is the Senior Vice President leading Optum Enterprise Analytics – Analytic Solutions team.

The OEA-AS team provides complete analytic capabilities for payment integrity and risk adjustment business, and supports the broader enterprise with global analytic alignment and collaboration on R&D. Dr. Alex Barclay joined UHG through United Healthcare in 2013 as Vice President of Advanced Research and Analytics at United Healthcare, initially focusing on Payment Integrity and eventually supporting all of Shared Services while growing the team from under fifty people to over four hundred. Prior to joining UHG Dr. Alex Barclay was the Vice President of Consulting and Analytics for Fraud and Identity Solutions at Experian.

Prior to joining Experian in 2006, he worked for HNC Software and Fair Isaac Corporation for more than six years. Prior to returning to graduate school, Dr. Barclay worked in satellite operations for the U.S. Defense Department at Lockheed Corporation.
