Bill is an aggressive and driven global leader with expertise in technology and data-enabled business solutions. As the chief evangelist of data being Walmart’s most valuable asset, Bill is driving this competitive advantage that is enabling the retailer’s transformation into a digital enterprise through data-driven decisions and automation. With the viewpoint that “analytics” is not technology, but instead a process that technology enables, Bill’s organization sets enterprise data and analytic standards across the globe for Walmart and establishes foundational platforms and tools to leverage scale across all business domains. He is a strong advocate of capturing data at every customer touchpoint, and some of his career highlights include leading data efforts at Honeywell and Dun & Bradstreet – where he created their data governance and policies procedures while spearheading their Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence capabilities. He is a graduate (undergrad and masters) of the University of Delaware and manages as a technical and hands-on leader who bridges both sides of tech and business/strategy – constantly enforcing the mantra that data science and analytic solutions only add value when they drive action.
